What is Sage?

Herbs were generally used by our long time ago and now, they still hold the same value as before. Herbs are very popular particularly in the kitchen. They are used for numerous reasons. Herb lovers prefer using sage and growing them at home.Sage can be grown in containers. The recommended size is at least an 8 inch pot, or larger. The smaller the pot, the faster plants can dry out, so it is advisable to water every week as long as the soil doesn’t become soggy.

Sage herb is a member of the mint family. It can be in the form of perennials, biennials, or annuals depending on its kind. It grows as a shrub and is famous for its very colorful flowers that can be seen in mid-summer. The colors may be pink, purple, red, scarlet, blue, fuchsia, and white that attract bees and butterflies.

Sage herb has numerous benefits. Just like other Herb Plants, sage is used to add flavor to your normal dishes. As well, you can also use it to bring more color and aroma to your kitchen and even on your window sills. Its strong aroma can make your home smelling fresh and clean the whole day.
