  2.     Mind has the most power to heal the body

Why is Ayurvedic diet important?

Anything we eat has a huge impact on our body and our mind. One should fix their eating habit not just to stay lean but also to relax their mind, body and soul. Whatever we take inside our stomach has an impact and one should be really careful in making their food choices on routine basis. There are foods that produce massive anxiety, then there are foods that reduce anxiety, there are foods that lead to depression and then there are foods that heal depression. Not that all problems are due to bad eating habits but yes, most of them are.
You cannot simply ignore your food choices or eating habits, otherwise, you will end up putting your mind and body in a big mess. There is a sensible approach to Ayurvedic diet which you need to keep in mind. Here are some of the tips that you can follow generally if you are

following a hard core Ayurvedic diet plan:

  •     Know your mind-body type because that way you would know which food choices are healthy for you and which are not.
  •     Try to eat a colorful diet which doesn’t mean of course that you add colors to your meals but have a mix of different vegetables, fruits, pulses and meat.
  •     Don’t forget to get abundant sleep and also avoid eating at least 2 hours before you sleeping time.
  •     Try not to eat until you are fully hungry.
  •     Take it slow and easy; make it a lifestyle rather than a craze.

So, that’s about it. These are some of the things that you should bear in mind when you begin your journey of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic diet.  Rest, keep calm and all will be well.
