Your eyes are a well-known communicator, conveying your feelings and thoughts. Puffy eyes, on the other hand, might make you appear fatigued and ill. The skin around your eyes is sensitive, and it’s one of the first places on your body to show signs of stress.

Allergies, stress, and a lack of sleep can all contribute to eye puffiness (eye bags). Fluid pools in the under-eye area as a result of these circumstances, resulting in minor edoema. Rubbing your eyes will just make them more irritated.

Eye treatments and medical procedures are frequently used to decrease eye bags. Even so, there are several home cures that have been shown to be more effective and less costly. Here are six natural ways to reduce your eye bags:

Sliced Potatoes

The potatoes in your pantry can be used for more than just cooking. In fact, you might be astonished at what a potato can accomplish. Potatoes have been shown to be an effective at-Home Treatment for Eye Bags.

Catecholase, an anti-inflammatory enzyme found in potatoes, helps to minimise eye puffiness and dark circles beneath the eyes.

Simply take a potato from the cupboard and chop it into four to six thick slices large enough to cover your eyes.

For 10 minutes, lie down and place one potato slice on each eye. Repeat this method until the puffiness around your eyes has subsided; then cleanse the area and apply coconut oil.

The potato’s starch pulls out toxins, while the coconut oil moisturises the potato and removes any dryness, leaving you with no eye bags.

Cold Cucumber Slices

The most common home treatment for eye bags is cucumbers. It’s not a pleasant s/pa treatment without cucumber slices over your eyes, as commercials and television shows would have you believe. Cucumber slices are proven cures for eye puffiness, and it’s not just a TV fiction.

Cucumbers have been related to the creation of collagen, which helps to reduce puffiness in the areas where they are administered, such as the eyes. Cucumber slices, when appropriately placed, can help de-puff your eyes by containing caffeic acid, which constricts blood vessels. Vitamin C is also found in cucumbers, which helps to calm sensitive skin.

To do so, chill a cucumber for 5-10 minutes before slicing it into two pieces large enough to go over your eyes. Apply the slices to your eye area and wait a few minutes for them to take effect.

Egg Whites

Eggs aren’t just good for breakfast; they’re also good for your complexion. Egg whites are also a natural source of “albumin,” a skin-tightening protein, as well as “collagen,” which helps to prevent eye bags.

2 egg whites, whisked until smooth (ideally from the fridge to ensure they are slightly chilled). Apply with your index or middle finger to your under-eye area and leave on for 5-10 minutes.

You may notice a tightening sensation, but this is normal; simply rinse off with lukewarm water after the 10 minutes are over.

Green Tea

Green tea contains a number of health and skin-related benefits. Green tea is high in antioxidants, which fight free radicals, which destroy down skin cells. It also has anti-inflammatory qualities, making it a great swelling treatment. The tannins in the tea act as a mild astringent, and the caffeine in the tea reduces the blood flow that produces puffiness.

For optimal results, soak two tea bags in ice water for several minutes before applying them to the under-eye area for 15 to 20 minutes.

Baking Soda

When applied to the under-eye area, baking soda increases blood flow and reduces eye bags. It’s also a natural exfoliant that gives your under-eye skin a healthy glow when you use it.

Soak cotton pads in a mixture of baking soda and water. Remove any extra water from your eyes and lay cotton pads over them for 10-15 minutes. Remove the pads from your face and rinse it with cold water before patting it dry with a clean towel and moisturising it.

Chilled Spoon

You can use that teaspoon in your cabinet for more than just eating breakfast. They also aid in the reduction of puffiness in the eyes.

Place two spoons in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes, then lie down with the back of each spoon on your eyelid.

The area becomes calmed after 10 minutes because the coolness constricts blood cells, lowering swelling.

Remember that these home cures can only give you with brief relief as you try them out. Staying hydrated by drinking enough of water and getting enough rest is the key to avoiding eye bags.
